HOW TO ENJOY THE HOLIDAYS


HOLIDAY HEART⁠ ⁠ What happens between the time when we are children, excited and fully ready for the Holidays and when we become adults, irritated and depressed by them?⁠ ⁠ Hmmmm....⁠ ⁠ I've been thinking about this, watching and listening to many adults grumble about family gatherings, traveling, and the holidays in general. What I've come to notice is it's a lack of forgiveness for the self and for others ⁠ ⁠ Forgiveness, when we're very young, is easy. It takes about 2 seconds for a young child to be hurt, receive an apology, and move on. Adults, not so much. We tend to hold grudges, or not feel the sorry was good enough, or not want to give a sorry ourselves.⁠ ⁠ So, this holiday season, instead of dreading those family gatherings -- why not look underneath that feeling and get to the root of the issue? You clear these up and the rest of your holidays will change forever for the better!⁠ ⁠ Meditate on and repeat this mantra 6 times to help you open to forgiveness either for yourself or another:⁠ ⁠ I'm sorry,⁠ Please forgive me,⁠ I love you,⁠ Thank you.⁠ ⁠ Now, take this to a person you've hurt -- say it just like this. That's all. No big discussions as to why or how you were in the right, or they were in the wrong. Start from here. Start from NOW - and say this to them. No attachment as to what they do with this -- but just allow what comes next to happen organically. Be the one that starts forgiveness in your family and watch it take off ---- You can do this!⁠ ⁠ Happy Holidays!⁠
